FAILPROOF FLAPJACK.

Sorry I haven't posted much recently, been pretty busy!  So today, after 14 years, I finally left school! I am so grateful for all the experiences I've had and the people I've met along the way, couldn't really ask for much more.  Scary thinking that I now have to go out into the real world, and fend for myself at university! Now all there is left is to take my final exams, then sit back and enjoy the summer!

These flapjack were the perfect thing to make in limited time, only taking about 20 minutes from start to finish and containing only 4 ingredients they're a staple bake in my house.

Ingredients:
225g (8oz) butter
225g (8oz) demerara sugar
75g (3oz) golden syrup
275g (10oz) porridge oats

Method:
Start by melting the butter, sugar and syrup in a small saucepan.
Once fully combined, add the oats and stir to coat.
Pour the mixture into a greaseproof paper lined tin, round, square, any tin you have, it doesn't really matter.
Bake for roughly 20 minutes, or until they start to colour around the edges.

Just to finish off, here's a bit of a throwback to when I started primary school, I like to think I've changed a lot since then!

So, for me its the end of an era, but the start of something I hope will be just as good.

Happy baking,
