CHOCOHOLIC'S DREAM.

These double chocolate brownies are the stuff dreams are made of.  The idea of crispy outer shells hiding a gooey chocolate centre is enough to make me weak at the knees!

I had my first exam today, so after it, I decided I would bake a treat for myself and these chocolate delights seemed like the perfect thing (I've never been able to resist chocolate, it's my 'one' weakness!)

Super easy to make, and even easier to eat, these are perfect for a quick bake.

Start by getting your ingredients together, you'll need:
100g white chocolate
115g milk or plain chocolate
115g butter
300g caster sugar
1 tspn vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
2 eggs, lightly beaten
140g plain flour
2 tbsp cocoa powder

Next, chop up the white chocolate into smallish chunks (not too small, you want some bite in your brownies!) and put to one side.
Break the milk/dark chocolate into a heatproof bowl and add the butter. Stir over a pan of simmering water until melted.  Leave to cool slightly.
Stir the vanilla and salt into the chocolate and pour into a large bowl with the sugar and mix well. Beat in the eggs.
Sift in the flour and cocoa powder and stir to combine, then add the white chocolate.
Pour into a deep square tin (roughly 8"x8") lined with greaseproof paper and bake for 30-35 or until a skewer comes out semi clean.

Here's your recipe to print and keep.

I can tell you from experience, that these brownies are some of the best I've tasted (not that I'm biased, honest!) and everyone who has tried them loves them!

Happy baking (and happy eating!),
